When something happens to Chris Paul, the whole world seems to be in pain, too.

The Los Angeles Clippers star went down with a rib injury during their game against the Portland Blazers last Monday. There is no clear timeframe as to when he will make a return on the hardcourt.

He already missed their game against the Pacers. Indiana exploited the absence of Paul, as they improved their record to 12-5 via a 103-91 win over the Clippers, who dropped their ninth game against ten wins.

The best guard in the league today, he is currently averaging 17.5 points, 8.4 assists, and 1.6 steals coming into their game against Portland.

Tagged as a future Hall of Famer, he is currently the 15th player in NBA history to have 7,000 assists made across his name. He’s been playing the game of his life every time he’s on the court, but nagging injuries often sideline him. Left and right, he’s been an avid recipient of injuries.

Standing at 6’0 and weighing just 175 lbs, his light and manageable frame allows him to move more freely without a care in the world.

Last season, he was able to complete the whole duration with 82 games since joining the pro league. But in the early part of this current season, he was forced to miss some game due to a groin injury.

Whenever he’s out, the Los Angeles Clippers are having a hard time choosing among the lineup on who will fill in the shoes of Paul.

Rivers said, “We’re deeper. So hopefully, that’ll help on nights like this game against Indiana. That’s why you do it, though. That’s why try to add so many guys.”

Austin Rivers is the Clippers’ primary backup and point guard to Paul. He gives it his best shot whenever he’s given the chance to fill in CP3’s shoes.

Jamal Crawford is also at injury bay.
